Bridgeport Hospital: Mental Health Services. Emotional or mental pain can hurt just as deeply as physical pain. And, like physical pain, symptoms shouldn’t be ignored. If you, or someone you love, needs help coping with emotional, behavioral or psychiatric problems, Bridgeport Hospital’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health has a variety of services and programs that can help – including inpatient hospital care and outpatient day programs. A 24-hour Emergency Department crisis service is also available.

Child Guidance Center of Mid-Fairfield County: OUR MISSION is to help all children with mental and behavioral health needs achieve emotional stability, academic success, and happy and productive lives.

We are the largest provider of child mental health care in Mid-Fairfield County. Our experienced team of board certified psychiatrists, psychologists, and clinical therapists provide individualized, evidence-based treatment services to children struggling with a broad range of mental and behavioral disorders including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, and trauma related disorders.

Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut is dedicated to improving the mental and behavioral health of children and teens through treatment, education, and community support. Danbury Hospital: offers inpatient psychiatric care for adult and geriatric patients. Our Crisis Intervention team provides acute psychiatric and behavioral intervention for patients in the Emergency Department. The inpatient unit offers a variety of services aimed to stabilize acute psychiatric symptoms including:

Danbury Vet Center: We offer confidential help for Veterans, service members, and their families at no cost in a non-medical setting. Our services include counseling for needs such as depression, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and the psychological effects of military sexual trauma (MST). Dorothy Bennett Behavioral Health Center: specializes in Mental Health Treatment Services with Outpatient treatment. Specialized programs and groups are conducted regularly focusing on Persons with co-occurring mental and substance abuse disorders, Seniors or older adults.

Franklin S. DuBois Center (FSDC): Serves the greater Stamford/Norwalk area. FSDC is responsible for providing ongoing, individualized treatment to persons living in the community with severe behavioral health disorders who are publicly insured, uninsured and in some cases underinsured. All services offered at the F. S. DuBois Center are aligned with the Commissioner’s initiative to move our practice to one offering Community Support and Recovery Pathways. At the end of the day, people ought to have more advanced skills for self-management. Within many areas of service at FSDC, Peers have become integral components. Person-centered care is a given and evidence-based practices are growing.

Greater Bridgeport Community Mental Health Center (GBCMHC): The Hospital Services Division offers an array of services to meet the needs of individuals, 18 years of age and older with prolonged psychiatric and co-occurring illnesses, who require hospitalization due to acute exacerbation of their symptoms and for those requiring continued rehabilitation before returning to the community. Patients are served in the following locations: The admissions unit (PICU I), the extended care unit (PICU II), and the Co-Occurring Treatment Unit (CTU).

Greenwich Hospital’s: psychiatrists and psychologists evaluate and treat individuals with a wide variety of emotional and mental health concerns. People struggling with mental illness, depression, anxiety and other psychological and psychiatric conditions receive compassionate care and treatment according to their needs. Counseling is available for individuals and families dealing with a difficult life transition, or issues relating to relationships, family and parenting. Specialists at Greenwich Hospital’s Addiction Recovery Center work with individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction.

HELP, Inc.: Our mission is to integrate people in recovery into their communities and improve the quality of their lives through mental health and substance abuse treatment. We focus on residential and non-residential substance abuse therapy, support and skill development.

A 4-month Residential treatment program for substance abuse or co-occurring disorders. Gender-specific groups, medication management services, and discharge planning are offered.

Positive Directions was established in 1971 in Westport, CT as a volunteer effort by recovering alcoholics to support recovery and bring awareness and prevention into school and community programs. The Agency’s mission is to support individuals, families, and communities by providing treatment for mental health and addictive behaviors and prevention programs that build resiliency and life skills in adolescents, adults and families.

Safe Passages: is a residence for men with mental health disorders who may or may not have substance use disorders and who are currently under the care of a physician and other health care professionals. Our staff provides mentoring and support for the activities of daily living including meals, transportation, scheduling/organizing, safety and supervision of self-administered medication record.

Southwest Community Health Center, Inc. SWCHC offers a Discounted Fee Schedule Program for patients who do not have insurance or whose income is below 200% of the Federal Poverty level. The amount of the fee discounted is based on your family size, income, and determined based upon annual established Federal Poverty Level income guidelines. A patient must complete an application for the discounted fee program and provide income verification, (last 2 paystubs, copy of entitlement checks, W2, etc.). SWCHC recommends that all new patients call the main number (203) 330-6000 for more information on required documentation.

Stamford Hospital – Psychiatric & Behavioral Health Services: Stamford Health offers behavioral health crisis services in the Emergency Department 24/7. If you’re having an emergency mental health crisis at any time, visit our Emergency Department with a new Behavioral Health designated treatment area. You’ll see a board-certified psychiatrist who is available 24/7. If your situation is dangerous to yourself or to others, we may advise psychiatric evaluation.

Triangle Community Center (TCC) is Fairfield County’s leading provider of programming and resources to nurture growth and connection within the LGBTQ community.

Triangle Community Center serves over 300 individuals who utilize its programs and services on a regular basis as well as over 5000 members of the Fairfield County community who attend a TCC program or event at least once a year. While our primary service area is Fairfield County, we often see people travel from Westchester, New Haven, and Litchfield counties to attend one of the programs we offer. TCC’s key target population is the LGBTQ community in Fairfield County, however, we welcome all who seek our services and have many clients who do not identify as LGBTQ.

Wheeler Clinic: Our caring, professional team works closely with you to address a broad array of challenges, including addiction, depression, anxiety, marital difficulties and serious mental illness. We also provide support for special needs, including anger management, substance use treatment, gambling addiction and more. Walk-in behavioral health services are available.
