Peer respite conversation is moving forward after a group of people from the community met with Senator Anwar yesterday afternoon. What was suppose to be a 30 minute lasted for almost two hours.
Plans are in the works to start raising more awareness in the state as to the benefits a respite can bring to Connecticut. Keep the Promise, Advocacy Unlimited, NAMI, and RIPPLE were all represented at the meeting and will remain key voices in this very important issue.
