NPR reported this story yesterday, July 15th, 2019. The study looked at over 5 million children that were placed into foster care from 2000 to 2017. After compiling information on all the children who entered the foster care system it was determined that nearly 1.2 million of them received placement into new homes as a direct result of drug related addiction.

Drug use not only changes the lives of the people fighting addiction, it can change the lives of everyone around them.
