We offer a safe haven for teens and young adults throughout our region, many of whom have experienced significant trauma. A high percentage of the girls we care for are victims of Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking.

Bridgeport Hospital: Mental Health Services. Emotional or mental pain can hurt just as deeply as physical pain. And, like physical pain, symptoms shouldn’t be ignored. If you, or someone you love, needs help coping with emotional, behavioral or psychiatric problems, Bridgeport Hospital’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health has a variety of services and programs that can help – including inpatient hospital care and outpatient day programs. Adult Behavioral Health: The Barnes III Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit provides 24-hour care and monitoring for adults aged 18 and older. This unit provides the most intense level of treatment for mental health and addictive disorders, including danger of suicide or other self-harm. We treat a diverse group of patients with a wide range of conditions and problems, including bipolar disorder, addiction and substance abuse, major depression and psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia.

Senior Behavioral Health: Our Senior Behavioral Health Unit serves those 65 and older, as well as younger adults who may have early onset Alzheimer’s or dementia or other disorders common in seniors. The unit is specially designed to provide a safe and secure environment that is also attractive, comfortable and full of natural light.

Catholic Charities of Fairfield County, Inc. has been a leader in providing affordable and accessible mental health services to economically disadvantaged individuals and families for over fifty years and is one of the only providers of subsidized mental health services in the region.
