River Valley Services (RVS), a community mental health center serving Middlesex County and the towns of Lyme and Old Lyme, is operated by the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS). Rockville General Hospital: is a 44-bed acute-care community hospital located in Vernon, approximately 15 minutes northeast of Hartford. It offers inpatient treatment mental health for adults.

Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center – Inpatient Child/Adolescent/Adult Services: Our adult inpatient programs serve people 18 years and older. We provide intensive treatment for those experiencing both acute and chronic behavioral crises.
Our Adult Psychiatric Unit treatment programs teach the individual to more effectively cope with disruptive thoughts and feelings through a combination of relational therapy. Our inpatient services for children and adolescents include dedicated units for children, the Acute Behavioral Child Unit for youngsters ages 5 to 12 years; and adolescents, the Child Adolescent Psychiatric Services for youngster ages 13 to 18 years.

Sharon Hospital – Behavioral Health: Sharon Hospital’s newly renovated Senior Behavioral Health Unit offers psychiatric care designed to meet the specific needs of geriatric patients (55 years and older). Our unit provides acute care for short-term stays with a goal of returning patients to their optimal level of functioning outside of the hospital.
Many of our patients have not had any prior mental health issues before coming to our program; their admission may be a result of factors relating to the aging process. Others have been living much of their lives with psychiatric conditions, which can be exacerbated as they grow older. Southwest Community Health Center, Inc. SWCHC offers a Discounted Fee Schedule Program for patients who do not have insurance or whose income is below 200% of the Federal Poverty level.
The amount of the fee discounted is based on your family size, income, and determined based upon annual established Federal Poverty Level income guidelines. A patient must complete an application for the discounted fee program and provide income verification, (last 2 paystubs, copy of entitlement checks, W2, etc.). SWCHC recommends that all new patients call the main number (203) 330-6000 for more information on required documentation.

Triangle Community Center (TCC) is Fairfield County’s leading provider of programming and resources to nurture growth and connection within the LGBTQ community.
Triangle Community Center serves over 300 individuals who utilize its programs and services on a regular basis as well as over 5000 members of the Fairfield County community who attend a TCC program or event at least once a year.
