We like it when our resource lists get longer and longer, it means a better chance that when someone is looking for help, they’ll find it. One problem with searching our pages it sometimes takes a while since organizations are listed in alphabetical order. While this method is easy to use it does not lend itself if your looking for services in specific areas of the state. This is where the upgrade comes into place.
We took some categories and along with the existing main page added 8 pages that divide the state into its 8 counties. Now you can search by location as well. This should help speed up the process which is helpful for people who don’t have a lot of time to stay online. We currently have this feature on 5 category pages in the CT Resource Links section of the site. They are Mental Health Treatment, Addiction & Recovery, Housing & Shelter, Energy Assistance & Services For Women. With only 5 done so far we have nearly doubled the size of the site adding 40 new pages.
