Bridge House has served thousands of members since its inception nearly 30 years ago and we continue to provide a critical safe haven for adults in the Greater Bridgeport area and Fairfield County who are struggling with mental illness.  Our program focuses on employment, education, and housing, connecting members with the resources they need to achieve their goals.

Bridgeport Rescue Mission:  Emergency Shelter is offered free of charge to those in need of safe refuge, regardless of age, gender, national origin, ethnic background, religion, or socioeconomic group. Food outreach and clothing to those in need in our care and in our community through our Blessing Rooms for men and women and at our daily Mobile Kitchen stops.

Bridgeport Rescue Mission – Guest House for Women and Children: Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, our comfortable shelter provides the essentials of safe lodging, nourishing food and needed clothing for displaced women with children. Women receive case management support and access to our Learning Center and work-training program to expand their education and employment opportunities. Our ultimate goal is to help homeless and hurting women gain long-term stability and a better life for their families and to provide children with a safe, nurturing environment to prevent generational homelessness.

Franklin S. DuBois Center (FSDC): Serves the greater Stamford/Norwalk area. FSDC is responsible for providing ongoing, individualized treatment to persons living in the community with severe behavioral health disorders who are publicly insured, uninsured and in some cases underinsured. All services offered at the F. S. DuBois Center are aligned with the Commissioner’s initiative to move our practice to one offering Community Support and Recovery Pathways. At the end of the day, people ought to have more advanced skills for self-management. Within many areas of service at FSDC, Peers have become integral components. Person-centered care is a given and evidence-based practices are growing.

Harmony House, A Family & Children’s Aid Program: provides temporary round the clock housing for up to 16 homeless mothers and their children. Residents stay for an average of 90 days. Harmony House empowers women by providing them with the skills and resources needed to maintain a more stable life for their families and achieve the goal of living independently. FCA staff works with the mothers to help them gain employment, further their education and develop the necessary skills to live independently.

Homes with Hope is a Westport-based organization dedicated to ending homelessness in Fairfield County. Incorporated on December 5, 1983, Homes with Hope (formerly the Interfaith Housing Association) opened in 1984 as a homeless shelter for single men, occupying a retired firehouse owned by the Town of Westport. Local religious organizations worked together to create the Interfaith Housing Association in response to an increased number of homeless individuals, primarily men, who were turning to them for aid.

Inspirica, Inc.: We operate 11 facilities in lower Fairfield County and provide an extensive array of support services, including vocational training, workforce education, job placement, housing placement, job & housing retention support, early childhood & parenting services, children’s services, counseling, case management, and much more.

Kathie’s Place – Center for Family Justice: a domestic violence safe home for adults and children fleeing their abusive situation. Our Crisis counselor/advocates offer support in a secure, non-judgmental environment where families, individuals and children can learn to keep themselves safe, access appropriate services, and work toward an independent living situation.

Kathie’s Place has 15-beds and offers up to 60 days of emergency shelter for women and children. Residents receive advocacy and counseling services from the staff both at The Center and the safe house. Weekly house meetings are held at the safe house and activities are planned regularly for the children.

Keystone House was founded in 1972 as a non-profit organization providing rehabilitation services for individuals with psychiatric disorders. Keystone started with one home serving 12 clients, growing over the years to presently operating two group home level of care facilities with an additional facility providing long term supports. Our supported apartment program provides residential support for individuals with psychiatric disorders, those dually diagnosed with a co-occurring substance abuse disorder and those homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Kids In Crisis: provides emergency shelter, crisis counseling, and community education programs for children of all ages and families facing crisis. Crisis can can include domestic violence, mental health concerns, homelessness, substance abuse, economic difficulties, and other critical challenges.

The Kids In Crisis Helpline is staffed 24 hours a day with trained Crisis Counselors, and provides free, confidential phone and face-to-face intervention, counseling, and referrals. Since its founding in 1978, Kids In Crisis has provided vital 24-hour services to more than 148,000 children and teens, and their families. Providers, educators, community members, and family members are encouraged to call the 24-hour helpline: 203-661-1911 for support.

Laurel House provides mental health resources to people coping with mental illness, and their families, across numerous communities in and around Connecticut. Resources to Recover is a robust array of integrated services and expertise helping people along the path of mental health recovery. Although more than 80% of our program participants are living with a diagnosis of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder or major depression, research supports that people can and do recover from the worst effects of serious mental illness.

Liberation Programs is one of Fairfield County’s leading behavioral health organizations specializing in treatment for all types of substance use disorders including alcohol, opiates, depressants and stimulants. Safe Passages: is a residence for men with mental health disorders who may or may not have substance use disorders and who are currently under the care of a physician and other health care professionals. Our staff provides mentoring and support for the activities of daily living including meals, transportation, scheduling/organizing, safety and supervision of self-administered medication record.

Women’s Center: has been a safe haven as the sole provider of services to victims of domestic and sexual violence in the Northern Fairfield and Southern Litchfield County areas.
Our free and confidential services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The Center’s key areas of focus include emergency shelter and support services, counseling and advocacy, crisis intervention, and community education, primary prevention and training.
