River Valley Services (RVS), a community mental health center serving Middlesex County and the towns of Lyme and Old Lyme, is operated by the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS).
RVS’s goal is to provide the highest quality crisis intervention, case management, and residential and clinical services to adult citizens, 18 years of age and older, who suffer from serious mental disorders and who lack the financial means to secure such services in the private sector.

Rushford is one of Connecticut’s leading providers of addiction and mental health treatment programs for teens and adults. We are accredited by the Joint Commission and have received national recognition for our success in delivering high quality prevention and treatment programs.
Rushford is a designated Local Mental Health Authority for the Meriden/Middletown region, providing comprehensive services for individuals suffering from serious mental health disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression and others.

Rushford at Stonegate: When your teenage son is struggling with addiction, it can be hard to tell where to turn. Rushford at Stonegate, in Durham, Connecticut, offers residential treatment for boys ages 13 to 18. The program engages even the most resistant teens and helps them focus on their individual strengths and make meaningful life changes.

Safe Place is a national youth outreach and prevention program for young people under the age of 18 (up to 21 years of age in some communities) in need of immediate help and safety. As a collaborative community prevention initiative, Safe Place designates businesses and organizations as Safe Place locations, making help readily available to youth in communities across the country. Safe Place locations include: libraries, YMCAs, fire stations, public buses, various businesses, and social service facilities.

Southwest Community Health Center, Inc. SWCHC offers a Discounted Fee Schedule Program for patients who do not have insurance or whose income is below 200% of the Federal Poverty level.
The amount of the fee discounted is based on your family size, income, and determined based upon annual established Federal Poverty Level income guidelines. A patient must complete an application for the discounted fee program and provide income verification, (last 2 paystubs, copy of entitlement checks, W2, etc.). SWCHC recommends that all new patients call the main number (203) 330-6000 for more information on required documentation.

Turnbridge: The Turnbridge Women’s Program is a gender-responsive residential program that provides treatment for young women recovering from addiction, trauma, eating disorders, and other co-occurring mental health disorders. This comprehensive program addresses the unique ways in which addiction affects the physical, mental, and emotional health of young women.

United Community & Family Services: Outpatient Behavioral Health Services provide a wide range of services including individual, couple, family, and group therapy.
In conjunction with therapy services we also offer psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Our Bettor Choice Program offers counseling for gamblers and those affected by gambling (i.e., spouse, family members and significant others).

Wildwood Farm: is a unique recovery opportunity located along the Connecticut Shoreline for the LGBTQ+ person seeking time to heal from the challenges of addiction and co-occurring problems. Here the individual finds healing and discovers the hope that life will get better.
For the LGBTQ person this requires a healthy living situation that offers acceptance and the assurance of supportive care, in other words, a place that is “LGBTQ normative.” Where accepting LGBTQ lifestyles is the norm… The Farm warmly welcomes members of the gay community and friends of the gay community.
The objective of the sober house is to make a safe, comfortable home for the LGBTQ person in need of supportive services in establishing a successful recovery plan. The typical stay at the farm is 3, 6 and 12 months, however, other arrangements are possible.

Women for Sobriety, Inc., is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping women discover a happy New Life in recovery from Substance Use Disorders. Founded in 1975, the WFS New Life Program is based on thirteen Acceptance Statements which encourage emotional and spiritual growth.
WFS has certified moderators and chat leaders leading mutual support groups online and in person, as well as phone volunteers available for one-on-one support. Any woman seeking an abstinent New Life is welcome to join WFS, and all expressions of female identity are welcome.
