AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) – is a worldwide fellowship of men and women who help each other to stay sober. They offer the same help to anyone who has a drinking problem and wants to do something about it. Since they are all alcoholics themselves, they have a special understanding of each other. They know what the illness feels like – and they have learned how to recover from it in AA.

AL-ANON is a worldwide organization that offers a program of help and mutual support for families and friends of someone with a drinking problem whether or not the person with a drinking problem seeks help or even recognizes the existence of a drinking problem. Participants in AL-ANON give and receive comfort and understanding through a mutual exchange of experience, strength and hope, and learn how the principles of the AL-ANON program can be applied to their own lives.

Capitol Region Mental Health Center (CRMHC): is a community based mental health center, operated by the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, which provides an array of innovative clinical and community support services to individuals with a psychiatric disability, in many cases with co-occurring problems of substance abuse. Our mission is to partner with persons in recovery to ensure access to high quality and culturally competent person-centered behavioral healthcare services.

CleanSlate drug treatment center treats patients with dignity, compassion and respect. We offer rehabilitation for drug addictions like opioids and alcohol. Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) envisions a world where the power, hope and healing of recovery from alcohol and other drug addiction is thoroughly understood and embraced.
CCAR is a centralized resource in CT for all things recovery. Whether you are contemplating a life in recovery, are new to recovery or are in long term recovery, CCAR is here to help you to navigate the recovery community, by connecting you with others in recovery and providing access to area support services.

InterCommunity, Inc. Our community health center provides same-day primary care services to every member of the community who walks in, regardless of life situation or ability to pay. We also provide a wide array of behavioral health services. Our Addiction Services offers a similarly wide range of substance use treatment and recovery-supportive services, with many sites in the Hartford area.

Mercy Housing and Shelter Corporation provides housing assistance and supportive services to persons who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Offering services such as veterans case management and housing, a community respite program, and a short-term, 90-day housing and supportive services program for women in recovery.

Narcotics Anonymous – Connectucit Region: N.A. is a nonprofit fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. We are recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean. This is a program of complete abstinence from all drugs. There is only one requirement for membership, the desire to stop using. We suggest that you keep an open mind and give yourself a break. Our program is a set of principles written so simply that we can follow them in our daily lives. The most important thing about them is that they work. We have learned from our group experience that those who keep coming to our meetings regularly stay clean.

Root Center for Advanced Recovery: provides a continuum of behavioral healthcare services to help individuals struggling with substance use disorders. Rushford is one of Connecticut’s leading providers of addiction and mental health treatment programs for teens and adults. We are accredited by the Joint Commission and have received national recognition for our success in delivering high quality prevention and treatment programs. Rushford is a designated Local Mental Health Authority for the Meriden/Middletown region, providing comprehensive services for individuals suffering from serious mental health disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression and others.

Saint Francis Hospital – 8 West Inpatient Detoxification Service: The Opioid Treatment Program is one component of the 8-West Acute Behavioral Inpatient Unit’s detoxification service. The 8-West Unit is part of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center’s Behavioral Health service. Saint Francis provides acute, inpatient child, adolescent and adult psychiatric and substance abuse treatment on four specialty care units.
