The Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS): Problem Gambling Services (PGS) is a comprehensive network of consumer-oriented problem gambling recovery services for people of Connecticut and to foster an environment throughout the State that promotes informed choices around gambling behavior.

Bettor Choice Programs are gambling-specific treatment programs funded by the State of Connecticut. Services are offered at more than 16 locations in Connecticut through community agencies. Most programs offer a variety of outpatient services including: individual, group, peer recovery support, medication, and budget counseling for both problem gamblers and those affected. Services are provided at little to no cost.

Community Renewal Team – Asian Family Services: offers counseling and support services to individuals and families from many cultures. We can help clients deal with issues such as unhealthy relationships, poor anger management, compulsive gambling and substance abuse.

The Connecticut Council on Problem Gambling (CCPG) is a non-profit organization focused on preventing problem gambling and helping those who may be struggling from disordered gambling as well as persons affected.

Gamblers Anonymous: is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from a gambling problem. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop gambling. There are no dues or fees for Gamblers Anonymous membership.

MCCA, Midwestern Connecticut Council of Alcoholism, Inc. is the primary provider of substance abuse prevention, evaluation and treatment services in the greater Danbury area. MCCA has dedicated resources to treat those suffering from problem gambling with the Bettor Choice Gambling Program. This is an outpatient gambling specific treatment program funded by the State of Connecticut.

Positive Directions was established in 1971 in Westport, CT as a volunteer effort by recovering alcoholics to support recovery and bring awareness and prevention into school and community programs. The Agency’s mission is to support individuals, families, and communities by providing treatment for mental health and addictive behaviors and prevention programs that build resiliency and life skills in adolescents, adults and families.

United Community & Family Services: Outpatient Behavioral Health Services provide a wide range of services including individual, couple, family, and group therapy. In conjunction with therapy services we also offer psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Our Bettor Choice Program offers counseling for gamblers and those affected by gambling (i.e., spouse, family members and significant others).
