AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) – is a worldwide fellowship of men and women who help each other to stay sober. They offer the same help to anyone who has a drinking problem and wants to do something about it. Since they are all alcoholics themselves, they have a special understanding of each other. They know what the illness feels like – and they have learned how to recover from it in AA.

The C.A.R.E.S. Group (Community Addiction & Recovery Education & Support): The mission of The C.A.R.E.S. Group is to provide education, support, resources and hope for communities, families, and individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction. Substance abuse and addiction affect not only the individual, but entire families. The C.A.R.E.S. Group promises to provide a confidential outlet for parents and other concerned family members or friends to discuss issues regarding a loved one’s suspected or confirmed use of mind-altering substances & obtain resources for recovery. MCCA, Midwestern Connecticut Council of Alcoholism, Inc. is the primary provider of substance abuse prevention, evaluation and treatment services in the greater Danbury area. MCCA has dedicated resources to treat those suffering from problem gambling with the Bettor Choice Gambling Program. This is an outpatient gambling specific treatment program funded by the State of Connecticut.

MCCA, Midwestern Connecticut Council of Alcoholism, Inc. Trinity Glen Men’s Program in Sharon: Trinity Glen is targeted to chronically addicted men who have been unable to maintain sobriety despite multiple treatments including intensive programs, halfway houses, detoxification, and shelters. This program is aimed at enhancing the individual’s sense of responsibility to himself and stresses the importance of their role in the community. Trinity Glen provides a therapeutic, structured, sober community living experience geared toward providing the necessary tools for re-entry into society.

MCCA, Midwestern Connecticut Council of Alcoholism, Inc. Trinity Glen Women’s Program in Kent: Nestled in the hills of Kent, Trinity Glen Women’s Program is modeled after the men’s program in Sharon. Our facility offers semi-private dormitory rooms housing 11 beds with spacious living quarters and meeting rooms for women who are suffering from chronic addiction to drugs or alcohol. The women’s program is targeted to the chronic alcoholic who has been unable to maintain sobriety despite multiple treatments including intensive programs, halfway houses, detoxification and shelters.

Narcotics Anonymous – Connectucit Region: N.A. is a nonprofit fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. We are recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean. This is a program of complete abstinence from all drugs. There is only one requirement for membership, the desire to stop using. We suggest that you keep an open mind and give yourself a break. Our program is a set of principles written so simply that we can follow them in our daily lives. The most important thing about them is that they work. We have learned from our group experience that those who keep coming to our meetings regularly stay clean.
