11/17/2020 – Zoom Meeting Updates

As many of you know Ripple launched a late night peer support group on September 15th 2020. Since that time we have hosted this meeting every Tuesday and Thursday night from 10 – midnight. Our average meeting length is just over 3 hours, we rarely end on time which tells us that it is needed. We have also, on occasion, opened the Zoom room on other nights during the week when a peer has asked us for some safe space to talk. Again we look at this as a good thing, it tells us that not only is something like this needed, it tells us we need more of it.

Starting January 3rd, 2021 we will add Sunday to our late night offerings as we realize there is a 5 day gap between groups. It is also a good way to end the week and prepare for the week ahead. While we would like to do this sooner rather than later we’ll simply be in a better position to implement this after the holiday season is over. Speaking of the holiday season, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Years Eve are all on Thursdays this year. We will still be holding our regularly scheduled meetings on those nights. Many people have a harder time during the holidays that at other times during the year, for this reason we will hold space for you if needed.

We would like to thank all of those who have stopped in to visit and share over the last two months. Thank you for supporting us as we strive to support others.
